The First Leg of My Journey: St Francis Prayer Center, Stoneville, North Carolina

The first leg of my journey. Four Days at St Francis Prayer Center, in Stoneville, North Carolina.  No phone service, no television.   I am drawn to the collection of hand-carved wooden sculptures … of St. Frances at the entrance, and a small Pieta in the chapel.  The buildings and grounds are breathtaking.

This Level of my Healing Touch training is about learning to better listen with my heart, rather than with my brain.  It’s hard to imagine a more beautiful, more peaceful setting.  My heart is open.

Spending four days in community with a group of amazing men and women … each possessing incredible gifts and experiences, each giving and receiving energy and unconditional love.  We learn, again, that it is through giving that we receive.   Our techniques become people, rather than processes.

This post is short and sweet.  I wanted to share a few pictures, and some thoughts that are enfolding me … pulling at my heart.  Some are words of others.  Some are my own.  If you feel drawn to any of the words, I hope you’ll hold them close to your heart, and share them when the opportunity arises.

  • We all have a fear of death … and we all have a fear of life.
  • The gift is balance.
  • God, You are all I know.
  • Everything deserves honor and respect.  Everything.
  • This is a green, organic energy.
  • The focus is you.
  • There is nothing to forgive.
  • You have no idea how beautiful you are.
  • Shifts happen.
  • God comforts us not to make us comfortable, but so that we can comfort others.
  • I’m a wanderer.
  • Help. Fix. Serve.  Only service leads to wholeness.  Only wholeness heals.

Peace…and take good care ~

    Beautiful!

    • Hi Nancy,
      I’ve missed you …
I’m glad you liked the post. It has been an amazingly beautiful week. It continues today. We’re in northwest Iowa, stopping soon at Council Bluff. Sounds like a place you might really love. I’ll say a prayer for you while I’m there. 🙂
      Love,
      Jane

    • ….and you mine. Thank you for your friendship, and the things you’ve taught me along the way. When I read your post yesterday, Walking on the Beach, I wanted to take a picture of my bare feet, resting in the back of the van, as the miles and miles of cornfields rolled by, and send it to you. My happy. Gifts abound, and I’m grateful to be able to share.
      Take good care ~
