Recovery Seeds for December 2010
Monday, December 20
It is easy to be left in want for the holiday celebrations we see on television. Happy families decorating the tree, or gathering for a candlelit meal. Beautifully dressed children on Christmas morning, receiving perfect gifts from deliriously happy parents.
Commercial America leaves us in want. We overindulge as we chase the high that will make our holiday television-perfect.
We want …
~ for relationships we don’t have
~ to eat sweets that we don’t need
~ to buy things we can’t afford
Enjoy beautiful music. Spend quiet time with twinkling lights. Reflect on your blessings.
Keep your holiday simple, and have a Merry Christmas.
” Life holds so much ~ so much to be so happy about always. Most people ask for happiness on condition. Happiness can be felt only if you don’t set conditions. ” Artur Rubinstein
I’m wishing you wellness and tender, healing nourishment,
Take good care,
Jane
