You might remember that my neighbors and I are growing an organic garden this summer.
Liz often tends the garden while I’m at work, and we are both enjoying walking out to the space where our yards meet, to find a new surprise each day. ย Vines twirling uncontrollably (every day, more vines) and tiny tomatoes popping out. ย I am amazed that we can go from removing grass and tilling the soil to lush green wholeness in just over a month.
Last week was our first harvest, and we’ve been enjoying fresh greens, squash, radishes, and some teeny tiny beets.
I wanted to share a few pictures with you.
Enjoy ~
Thank you Jane for sharing the details of what is happening in your garden. I love it ๐

Hi Alison ~ thanks for stopping by! This is the first time I’ve had a real garden for many, many years, and I am so enjoying it. ๐

Great shots, Jane! I’m envious — would you please send some of that Carolina sunshine and warm air up our way (MN)? Seems like our garden’s barely getting started.
Hi Jeffrey, We’ve had more than our share of sunshine so-far this year. May and June have been more like July and August … I’m happy to have 2-3 days of nice weather this week, in the 80’s. Wishing you sunshine and a happy healthy garden … soon ๐
Take good care,
Jane

Thanks for your acknowledgment, Jane. I’ll bet your tomatoes are really tomatoes — unlike ours, which are still only a splash of pale yellow in a honey bee’s eye.
Cloudy and cool again here, so I guess we’ll find the sunshine within!
