Wishcasting Wednesday: What Do You Wish To Celebrate?

Every Wednesday, the incredibly talented Jamie Ridler, of Jamie Ridler Studios, posts a Wishcasting prompt.

I’ve made a place, a beautiful page on my blog, to cradle my wishes and dreams.

I’m guessing that some weeks I’ll answer her prompt, and some weeks I may not get to it.  On the days when I do make time to honor my wishes and dreams, they’ll be here, on the Wishcasting Wednesday page of my blog.

So here’s to my Wishcast for November 17, 2010 ~

Wishcasting Wednesday: What Do You Wish To Celebrate?

So-far in my blog-life I’ve been a bit hesitant to write specifically about my family.  I once read that you always run the risk of crossing lines, saying too much …  or not enough.  So, I’ve told you very little about my wonderful son.  There is so much to know.

This morning I wish to celebrate his successes.  He will graduate from Virginia Tech in December.  I am proud of him, as a mom, yes.  He is beautiful, kind, smart, and funny … strong, courageous, and steadfast.  I can’t take the credit.

It’s a privilege to know him, and to have been chosen to be his mother.

His dreams are of a fulfilled life … the life of an independent thinker.  I admire the independence he has gained through his life’s journey up to this moment.  From the time he was a little boy, he watched how the world worked.  From a very early age he seemed to understand what makes people truly happy … what would make him happy.  He emerged, making decisions about what he wanted his world to look like, and setting his intention.  With his shoulders back and his face toward the sun, he has marched toward that dream with a diligence that has amazed us all.

I wish to celebrate my son … his successes.  I ask your prayers for his well-being, authenticity, and fulfillment.  Thank you, my friends.

So, what do you wish to celebrate?

Leave a comment below…who knows, you may feel inspired to start your own Wishcasting page.

Thanks for stopping by today. I’m really glad you’re here.
