You might remember that my neighbors and I are growing an organic garden this summer.
Liz often tends the garden while I’m at work, and we are both enjoying walking out to the space where our yards meet, to find a new surprise each day. Vines twirling uncontrollably (every day, more vines) and tiny tomatoes popping out. I am amazed that we can go from removing grass and tilling the soil to lush green wholeness in just over a month.
Last week was our first harvest, and we’ve been enjoying fresh greens, squash, radishes, and some teeny tiny beets.
