Don’t Give Up Before the Miracle Happens

Ophelia

“Don’t give up before the miracle happens!”

I’ve heard this phrase often … in a variety of contexts …

In recent days I sense its urgent call … as if a dam is ready to burst, and demands my full attention.

I am simultaneously delighted and overwhelmed with the continued work of nurturing this studio … of holding and honoring this dream I’ve been walking toward for so very long. I am full of gratitude for the amazing souls who continue to step onto the path before, behind, and beside me.

Doing my best to let my doing come from being, I listen for that which calls for my attention.  I allow shifts where it feels good … gentle releases trickling over the mossy rocks … the dam never sending forth more than I can handle.

Perhaps the real miracle will come with the breaking of the dam … a full-on rush of molecules, created in infinite perfection.  Perhaps water will wash over and around me, and I’ll be held, adrift in a place of clarity, peace, and letting go, until my feet find dry ground once again.

~ and now I find that I’m am suddenly left holding this powerful image of Ophelia, created by one of the strongest and most inspirational women I know, my friend Elizabeth St Hilaire Nelson  ~ who stepped onto the path with me, and held a candle before me when when I couldn’t quite find the next step.

Let’s not give up before the miracle happens love ~ let’s keep taking one step at a time, trusting that all is well, and that we will never be given more than we can handle.  Knowing that timeless infinite souls surround and support you in whatever you encounter, whatever you endure, whatever you dream.

With so much gratitude, and big love for each of you,
